
Fawn Smiley grew up in Savannah. While she got her undergraduate
in Anthropology
at the University of California at Davis, she did her graduate work at San Francisco’s
American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She had additional training under
the internship of Dr. Jiahua Tao, of the Savannah Acupuncture Center. Since opening
Hidden Well Acupuncture Center in 1999, she has introduced many people to the kind
and gentle ways of oriental medical healing. Her understanding of how the mind and
body create one another both harmoniously and inharmoniously is of great benefit
to many patients. According to the person, she may recommend additionally yoga practice,
meditation, or different therapies for healing. She treats a broad range of ailments
from gastrointestinal to sleep disorders.
Peter Brodhead grew up in Sarasota, Florida and went to Mercer University. He and
his wife Janie moved to Savannah and pioneered our local health food store, Brighter
Day. He has been working in the nutrition field since 1978. His knowledge of how
foods, nutritionals,
and botanicals can heal particular imbalances is truly astounding.
His enthusiasm for people ready to make changes among the myriad of choices lends
incredible support during times of stress. He is the number one resource in Savannah
